Jamboree adheres to the usual formula of late-1950s rock & roll films: A plethora of musical numbers linked together by the wispiest of plotlines. Kay Medford heads the cast as manipulative showbiz agent Grace Shaw. Hoping to land pop singer Pete Porter, Grace connives to break up Pete's romance with female vocalist Honey Wynn. But who cares? The audience came to see such musical faves as Fats Domino, Count Basie, Jerry Lee Lewis, Jodie Sands, Ron Coby, Slim Whitman, Carl Perkins, Frankie Avalon, Charlie Gracie and the Four Coins. As a promotional tie-in, Jamboree also features appearances by 21 of North America's top rock-and-roll deejays.

While riding on horseback with fellow actor Bill Demarest near the vast Irvine Ranch in Southern California, Jimmy Stewart pauses to explain that Irvine will be the location of the 1953 Boy Scout Jamboree.

A young songwriter leaves his Kentucky home to try to make it in New Orleans. Eventually he winds up in New York, where he sells his songs to a music publisher, but refuses to sell his most treasured composition: "Dixie." The film is based on the life of Daniel Decatur Emmett, who wrote the classic song "Dixie."

A documentary on the Zombie Jamboree, the 25th Anniversary of Night of the Living Dead convention that took place in 1993. Guests included numerous cast and crew of the Romero Living Dead movies as well as cast from Russo's spin-off series, Return of the Living Dead. Other guests included horror icons Kane Hodder, Gunnar Hansen, Linnea Quigley, Brinke Stevens and Tom Savini as well as sci-fi/fantasy favorites, Adam West, Dave Prowse and Susie Owens among others. Documentary includes interviews with celebrities and fans and includes clips from events of the convention.

Small town America, 1945. The boys are coming home, as is Clarence Laidlaw who served overseas in lieu of serving time in prison. Chaos and confusion greet Clarence upon his return - his pre-war moonshine activities and absence have embittered his teenage son, split apart his family, and alienated the small town. Moreover, his conniving sister-in-law conspires with the crooked sheriff to prevent a family reconciliation. In attempting to stabilize his family, and in seeking to punish the conspirator who brought him before the law, Clarence almost destroys both the town and his family. But sanity, love and music conquer all, and family and town are reunited.

A moonshiner turned sheriff's deputy helps bring in the bad guys armed with duct tape. The local newspaper reporter now has some major events to write about, and a sleepy little Alabama farming community is making the news all over Dixie.
